About
As a creator, she's @JustCallMeNas. Everywhere else, she's Naudia.
She is a Seattle native, raised in Greenwood, with roots in Tacoma's Hilltop. She grew up multicultural and in between, and she learned young to read rooms that were never built for her. Surviving them was a skill. Motherhood, in 2009, gave her the reason behind it: telling our stories is how we learn to love ourselves, and loving ourselves is how we begin to love others.
She has brought two decades of hospitality, a decade of cultural work, and a lifetime of volunteering and community service to that purpose. As former General Manager and current Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at Black & Tan Hall, she helped build a space for Black ownership and group economics in South Seattle. In its first two years it has become an inclusive home for many cultures and communities. Today she is also Programs Manager of the Seattle Black Panther Party Interpretive Center, where lived experience is the credential and education is the mission.
Her revolution starts with love. Following bell hooks, she defines it as something we do, a practice of care, respect, honesty, and responsibility, and she's out to spread that definition as widely as she can. She connects people with each other and with resources, moderates the hard conversations, hosts the room, and takes the stage as a vocalist. A docu-series on healing generational trauma is in development, with a podcast to follow.
Revolutionary by nature. Socialite by design. Love is the revolution. If you want a keynote, a moderator, a host, or a front-row seat to the story, you're in the right place.
